You will also visit the imposing figure of the Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620 BC). Hewn from natural limestone and standing 65 feet high and 187 feet long, this unforgettable statue combines the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body. Legends and superstitions abound about this relic of antiquity.
Visit the Egyptian Museum, the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic and Greco-Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt’s king and Tut Ankh Amun treasures.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Cairo airport in time for your flight to Luxor. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Hilton Luxor Hotel for overnight stay in a guest room.
This afternoon visit the East Bank (Karnak & Luxor Temples). In an unforgettable excursion you will be driven to the Luxor Temple, which was built by two great pharaohs, Amenhotep III, and Ramses II. After touring the temple, we travel along an avenue of ram headed Sphinxes, extending for about 2 miles, which link Luxor Temple with the Karnak Temple, the main centre of worship in ancient Egypt. No site in the world makes a more overwhelming and lasting impression than this “Temple of all Temples.”
SUN, 07/14
LUXOR (B)
After breakfast you will have a half day visit the West Bank. For your tour of the West Bank you cross the Nile from Luxor and visit the Valley of the Kings, which includes the tombs of the Thebian rulers. The Valley of the Kings is home to many Pharaonic tombs of the New Kingdom, including those of King Tutankhamen and Ramses the Great. Each King’s formal name and title is inscribed in his tomb, which are also adorned with his images and statues. Most of the tombs were cut into the limestone following a similar pattern: three corridors, an antechamber and a sunken sarcophagus chamber.
Next you can tour the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut, the only woman pharaoh to reign in ancient Egypt (in the new Kingdom). Her temple, with its impressive architecture, is traditionally associated with the goddess of love and joy – Hathor. It was formerly surrounded by tropical gardens with plants imported from Somaliland.
Visit the Colossi Memnon and return to your hotel with the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Luxor.
MON, 07/15
LUXOR-ASWAN (B)
After breakfast transfer by road from Luxor to Aswan and en route visit Edfu and Kom Ombo. Overnight at Movenpick resort Aswan in a superior Nile view room.
TUE, 07/16
ASWAN (BD)
After breakfast you will visit the High Dam and Philae Temple.
The Old High Dam was built by Sir W. Wilcox on Behalf of the British authorities in 1898. It is constructed of Granite quarried in the Aswan area. The official opening took place in 1902.
The Temple of Philae was dismantled and reassembled (on Agilika Island about 500 m from its original home on Philae Island) in the wake of the High Dam. The Temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis, is in a beautiful setting, which has been landscaped to match its original site. Its various shrines and sanctuaries, which include a temple of Hathor, a Birth House and two pylons, celebrate all the deities involved in the Isis and Osiris myth.
Continue to a Nubian village visit, with dinner included tonight at the hotel. Overnight in Aswan.
WED, 07/17
CARIO(BLD)
Breakfast at the hotel and morning flight to Cairo (flight not included). On arrival you will have a full day tour including visit to the Citadel, churches, Sultan Hassam and Bazaar with lunch included.
Visit the Citadel which is situated on a highly visible spur of the Mokattam Hills of Old Cairo, and was the nerve center of Egypt for almost 700 years. Construction of the grand structure began in 1176 and was completed by Muhammad Ali Pasha, ruler of Egypt in the late 19th century. Mamluk sultans and Turkish governors resided in the Citadel, which is among the world’s most splendid monuments of medieval warfare.
Facing the Citadel is the Mosque of Sultan Hassan, built between 1356 and 1363 and perhaps the most majestic monument of Arab architecture in Egypt and the Mosque of Al-Rifai was constructed in two phases over the period between 1869 and 1912, when it was finally completed.
Felucca ride with lunch: The Felucca is located by the shores of Garden City in front of the Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza to take you on a sailing experience like no other for 2 hours. It is ideal for family, friend and group gatherings. The Felucca is an inspirational destination that truly revives the charm of the River Nile including modernized ambiance with an authentic essence in addition to the delicious oriental lunch.
The tour also includes a visit to Khan ElKhalili, known as the Turkish bazaar during the Ottoman period, was built in 1382 by Emir Djaharks ElKhalili, in the heart of what was then Fatimid City. Until this day, the bazaar is a center of trade and communion in the city, and offers a wide array of antiques, handcrafts of gold, silver and copper as well as numerous old coffee shops and local restaurants which attract both Egyptians and tourists alike.
